How to Choose the right tires

“When you talk tires, you need to decide what’s most important. Is it tread
life, handling or ride comfort? (And no fair saying "all of them.”)
The government has a tire rating system (the Uniform Tire Quality Grade Standards) that may help you pick the most proper tire type, brand and model.
Tread wear rates a tire’s durability relative to an industry standard tire, whose rating is 100. A tire rated at 200 should last twice as long as the benchmark tire, but
critics say the number is subject to fudging by automakers.
Traction is rated as AA, A, B or C. AA is best.
Temperature grades relate to the sustained speeds the tires can handle. C for 85-100 mph, B for 100-115 mph, and A for speeds over 115 mph. The higher the speed rating, the higher-performance the tire is likely to be……“ from Progressive Insurance

More Than a Quarter of a Million Trees to be Planted on Behalf of Progressive Insurance Customers

Tuesday, 22 April 2008

“To thank customers who opt to use less paper and do business electronically, Progressive will plant more than a quarter of a million trees in U.S. National Forests countrywide. Also, this month, Progressive began offering a discount to customers who choose to go paperless.
The program is simple: customers can choose to enroll in the company’s Paperless Policy option and opt to receive just bills, or bills and policy documents, electronically. If they do, Progressive will plant a tree in their honor.
Most of the trees will be planted later this year — with the help of the Arbor Day Foundation — in U.S. National Forests damaged by wildfires, insects or disease.
"This program is a win-win for everyone. Trees are saved and forests restored, and customers eliminate clutter, have increased security, and get faster delivery of important documents,” said Christine Johnson, Progressive’s customer experience manager. “We can also reduce our costs by conserving resources used to print and ship bills and other policy documents — while also doing our part to help the environment and improve the customer experience.”……Progressive Insurance Trees

Progressive Insurance 502-245-3625 goes Paperless

Monday, 18 February 2008

Progressive Insurance goes Paperless:
“The Progressive Group of Insurance Cos. introduced Paperless Policies, a feature that will allow customers who buy a policy directly from the company or through independent insurance agencies, the ability to drastically reduce the amount of paper documents they receive. Having policy-related documents delivered electronically saves trees, expedites delivery of the documents and reduces the opportunity for misplaced documents, the company claims.
This new initiative is an extension of a Paperless Billing feature introduced in early 2007 that allowed customers to opt for an electronic bill versus a hard copy bill delivered by the U.S. Mail.
The Paperless Policies launch coincides with the company’s "70 Years, 70 Trees” anniversary events being held in six call center cities. The first event, in which 70 large trees are being planted in city parks to celebrate the company’s 70th year writing auto insurance, is being held today in Luke Easter Park in the company’s headquarter city,…..“ Progressive Insurance goes Paperless .
